Ayodhya's Ram Mandir: 40-Year-Old Marble Idol to Grace Grand Temple

The Ram Darbar will retain its splendor and glory for centuries to come. The Ram Darbar idol is crafted from a unique 40-year-old marble stone, captivating everyone's attention due to its exceptional qualities.

Ram Mandir: As the construction of the magnificent Ram Mandir at Ayodhya's Shri Ram Janmabhoomi nears completion, the temple's artistry and architecture are generating considerable discussion. Of particular significance is the Ram Darbar idol to be installed on the first floor of the temple. This Ram Darbar is carved from a 40-year-old marble stone, whose remarkable brilliance and strength will ensure it remains not only a center of religious faith for centuries but also an outstanding example of architectural art.

Marble's Characteristics and Scientific Examination

Satyanarayan Pandey, the principal sculptor who created the Ram Darbar idol, explained that the marble chosen is approximately 40 years old. This stone is exceptional not only in its strength but also in its shine and luminosity. He stated that the stone's unique characteristic is that the more it is washed or cleansed, the brighter it becomes, remaining untarnished for centuries.

After selecting this stone, a scientific team from IIT Hyderabad conducted thorough testing. This testing specifically focused on its ability to withstand the effects of weather, time, and environment. Its strength, moisture absorption rate, abrasion resistance, and temperature tolerance were examined. After all tests, the scientists declared the marble suitable for the Ram Darbar idol.

Idol's Structure and Dimensions

Satyanarayan Pandey mentioned that the Ram Darbar idol will stand seven feet tall, with Ram seated on his throne. The idols of Hanuman and Bharat are seated, measuring approximately two and a half feet in height. Lakshman and Shatrughna are depicted standing, each measuring three feet tall. Every detail of this massive and magnificent idol reflects meticulous care and craftsmanship.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Special Contribution

On this significant milestone in the Ram Mandir construction, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's name will be inscribed in golden letters in the history of Ayodhya. On May 4, 2025, the Chief Minister will be the chief officiant at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar and other idols on the first floor of the Ram Mandir. He will personally unveil the Ram Darbar idol and perform the Netromilan ceremony. Notably, this event coincides with Chief Minister Yogi's 53rd birthday, which he will celebrate in Ayodhya.

On this occasion, CM Yogi will, in addition to the Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Mandir, visit Hanuman Garhi for darshan and puja and attend the birth anniversary celebrations of Mahant Nrityagopal Das at Maniram Das's Chhavani. Furthermore, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the Saryu Mahotsav.

Security Arrangements and Administrative Preparedness

The administration has implemented stringent security measures within the temple complex. SP Security Balramachar Dubey and Temple Construction In-charge Gopal Rao inspected the temple arrangements. SP Security stated that the temple's security is completely impenetrable, with ATS, CPF, PAC, and civil police personnel deployed. The administration has also deployed magistrates to ensure the entire area is monitored.

Ram Darbar's Glory and Cultural Significance

Mahant Mithilesh Nandini Sharan praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that this action will elevate Ayodhya's spiritual and cultural heritage to new heights. He also mentioned that Ayodhya is now recognized not only as a religious site but also as an economic and cultural center. On Google, searches for Ayodhya most frequently yield images of the grand Deepootsav, reflecting the region's rich cultural heritage.

Shashankant Das, president of the Anjaneya Seva Sansthan, stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has restored Ayodhya's glory. He is the one who oversaw the establishment of the grand temple for Ram. He revived the tradition of Treta Yuga by applying tilak to Ram's forehead.

District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Fonde stated that even after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, general devotees will not be permitted to enter the Ram Darbar and the six other temples within the enclosure. A decision on when general devotees can view the Ram Darbar will be made at the Ram Mandir Trust meeting on May 7.
