DRDO Scientist Recruitment 2025: When and How to Apply?

DRDO has shared information regarding the recruitment process on its official website, rac.gov.in. The recruitment notification is expected to be published in the first week of June. A total of 148 positions will be filled under this recruitment drive. This includes positions within DRDO, ADA, and some reserved categories. All these positions will be in the Scientist category. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology for the nation's defence.

Selection for Scientist positions at DRDO will be entirely based on the GATE score and an interview. Candidates who have passed the GATE exam will be shortlisted. The shortlisting formula is also fixed – candidates will be called for interviews in a 1:10 ratio. This means that 10 candidates will be interviewed for one position.

The final selection will have an 80% weightage for the GATE score and a 20% weightage for the interview. Candidates with a good GATE score will thus have a significant advantage.
