Vodafone Idea (VI) officially launched its 5G network in Delhi NCR on May 15th, providing Delhi-based VI customers with access to high-speed, unlimited 5G data. While Jio and Airtel launched their 5G services considerably earlier, VI's delayed rollout contributed to a decline in its user base.
Unlimited 5G Data with ₹299 Plan
Vodafone Idea (VI) officially launched its 5G network in the Delhi NCR region on May 15th. VI users in Delhi can now benefit from this high-speed network and enhance their mobile experience.
VI users residing in Delhi can avail unlimited 5G data through the company's ₹299 recharge plan. This plan offers 28 days of validity, including unlimited calling, 100 free SMS per day, and 1GB of daily data. Note that a 5G-supported smartphone is required to access the 5G network.
Prior to this launch, Jio and Airtel had already launched their 5G networks, leading to a decrease in VI's user base. This new service aims to strengthen the company's market position.
VI's 5G Network Launched Initially in Mumbai
VI first launched its 5G network in Mumbai, followed by other cities like Chandigarh and Patna. The company plans to ensure 5G network availability across 17 circles nationwide by August 2025.
For this extensive expansion, VI has partnered with Ericsson, which is assisting in strengthening the 5G infrastructure. This collaboration provides VI with technical support and enhanced network capacity, ensuring faster and more stable internet services for its customers.
