Bihar: The death of a young rape victim in Kudhani, Bihar, has ignited a political firestorm. Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, visited the victim's family and leveled serious accusations against the state government. He stated, "The head of the 'double engine' government is in a state of unconsciousness." Yadav also questioned the medical system, demanded a speedy trial for the culprits, and warned of a statewide movement if justice is not delivered.

Victim's Death Causes Uproar

The death of the rape victim in Kudhani during treatment has sparked widespread outrage across the state. Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav expressed deep grief over the tragic incident, calling it a result of the government's insensitivity. He met with the victim's family to understand the events and stated that the child's life could have been saved with timely and proper treatment.

Tejashwi Yadav's Strong Condemnation

Tejashwi Yadav directly attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the state government, saying, "The head of the 'double engine' government is in a state of unconsciousness. They are unaware of what is happening in the state." He further asserted that the Bihar government has become completely insensitive and unconcerned with the problems of the people.

Questioning the State of Government Hospitals

Yadav also blamed the medical system for the child's death. He explained that while the child received better initial treatment at SKMCH, the situation drastically worsened upon transfer to PMCH in Patna. The child's uncle reported that no doctor attended to her at PMCH. Furthermore, he alleged that some people demanded money before starting treatment. The child suffered from oxygen deprivation, but instead of help, the hospital staff allegedly demanded money.

Negligence Costs an Innocent Life

According to the family, the child's life could have been saved if treatment had begun promptly at PMCH. However, the dilapidated system and insensitive attitude claimed the innocent child's life. The child was left unattended in the ambulance for hours without anyone offering assistance.
