The Institute of Seismology Research (ISR) reported a magnitude of 3.4, considered low on the Richter scale. The quake's epicenter was 4.9 kilometers below Wadhwan, striking at approximately 3:35 AM. Although the tremors were not intense, residents in the vicinity rushed out of their homes, creating a brief atmosphere of panic.
Epicenter and Impact
The earthquake's epicenter was in Wadhwan, Banaskantha district of Gujarat, located just 27 kilometers from Gandhinagar. The tremors felt in the Wadhwan area caused alarm among the local population.
However, due to the low magnitude, there are no reports of significant damage. Local authorities have confirmed no loss of life. Currently, there are also no reports of property damage.
