Northern India has experienced a series of dust storms and rain showers in recent days, and the meteorological department has issued weather forecasts for various regions for the coming day.

Pre-monsoon activities will be particularly intense in southern and eastern India, while north-western India is expected to see relief from the dust storms and light rainfall.

Delhi-NCR Rainfall Probability

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) will experience the effects of the pre-monsoon. According to the meteorological department, Delhi will see partly cloudy skies with a likelihood of light to moderate rain. Strong winds are also expected, with speeds potentially reaching 40-50 km/h. The IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi-NCR, warning of dust storms and potential lightning. The maximum temperature is forecast to be 36°C, and the minimum temperature 24°C. People are advised to exercise caution, especially while traveling.

Changing Weather in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan

Uttar Pradesh will experience varied weather conditions. Eastern parts of the state, such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Azamgarh, may experience light to moderate rainfall and b winds (50-60 km/h). Western UP cities like Meerut and Agra anticipate partly cloudy skies and dust storms. Maximum temperatures in these areas could reach 38°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 25°C.

Rajasthan anticipates weather changes due to the influence of a western disturbance. Cities like Jodhpur, Bikaner, and Jaipur are expected to see light rain and b winds. Maximum temperatures could reach 42°C. While western Rajasthan might see some respite from the heat, caution is advised due to potential dust storms.

Weather Impact on Haryana, Punjab, and Bihar

Haryana and Punjab are also expected to experience dust storms and light rain. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert, forecasting b winds (50-60 km/h), thunderstorms, and rain. Light rain in Chandigarh and surrounding areas could lead to a drop in temperature. Bihar is warned of thunderstorms, b winds (50-60 km/h), and light to moderate rain. A yellow alert has been issued for Patna, Gaya, and Bhagalpur. Maximum temperatures are expected to be 39°C, and minimum temperatures 27°C.

Weather Conditions in Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh

Jharkhand anticipates scattered rain with thunderstorms and b winds. Cities like Ranchi and Jamshedpur are expected to see light rain and a decrease in temperature. Maximum temperatures may reach 38°C. In Madhya Pradesh, eastern areas like Jabalpur and Sagar may see light rain, while Bhopal and Indore could experience maximum temperatures up to 41°C. Dusty winds are likely in these regions.

Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra will see partly cloudy skies, but rainfall is unlikely. However, Vidarbha and Marathwada may experience weather changes with light rain and thunderstorms. Cities like Akola could see maximum temperatures reach 44°C.
