Pakistan's dire economic situation has forced it to seek loans from global partners, including the World Bank. Amidst escalating war tensions and a plummeting stock market, the country has issued a plea for assistance.

Pakistan: Following India's retaliatory military action, Pakistan's economy has completely crumbled. The situation has become so dire that Pakistan is now appealing for loans from international institutions, including the World Bank. Pakistan's Ministry of Economic Affairs has issued a plea for help via a post on the social media platform X.

This post explicitly states that Pakistan is facing a severe economic crisis due to rising war tensions and a declining domestic stock market, urging the international community to provide assistance. The post also appeals for calm and patience from Pakistani citizens.

Critical IMF Meeting Today; India to Oppose Aid

Amidst this appeal, a crucial International Monetary Fund (IMF) meeting is taking place today to discuss an economic relief package for Pakistan. As India is part of the IMF management, it will participate in this meeting and oppose any financial aid to Pakistan.

India's stance is clear: providing funds to Pakistan would indirectly support terrorism. India will also inform member countries that Pakistan's current situation is primarily due to its promotion of terrorism, and providing any relief could pose a threat to global security.

Pakistan Hopes for Silence from the US and China

However, despite India's opposition, the likelihood of Pakistan receiving a relief package remains high, as major member countries like the US and China in the IMF are refraining from criticizing Pakistan. This is why Pakistan hopes to receive significant financial assistance soon.

Pakistan on Edge Since May 7th Attack

It is noteworthy that India responded bly to the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, on May 7th. Since then, Pakistan has faced immense pressure, not only diplomatically but also economically. Now, the Pakistani government and military are continuously appealing to the international community for help.
