The Women's T20 World Cup 2026 is set to begin! From June 12th to July 5th, England will host 33 thrilling matches, culminating in a mega final at Lord's.

New Delhi. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the full schedule for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026. England will host the tournament, which will be held from June 12th to July 5th, 2026. This mega-tournament, spanning 24 days, will feature a total of 33 matches across seven different cities in the country. Significantly, the final match will be played at the historic Lord's Cricket Stadium.

12 Teams to Participate, 8 Have Secured Their Spots

A total of 12 teams will participate in this prestigious tournament, with 8 teams already securing their places. These include hosts England, along with India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the West Indies. The remaining 4 teams will qualify through an upcoming qualifier tournament.

Match Venues

According to the ICC, the matches will be played in seven major English cities: London (Lord's and The Oval), Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, and Southampton. This will be the first time the Women's T20 World Cup will be held on such a large scale in England.

Announcing the tournament, ICC Chairman Jay Shah stated:

"Women's cricket is constantly gaining global popularity. We are preparing for a grand tournament in England, and having the final at a historic ground like Lord's will make this event even more special."

2023 Champions

New Zealand won the Women's T20 World Cup 2023, defeating South Africa. New Zealand will aim to defend their title in 2026.
