Agra Couple Among Victims
Among the victims of this tragic air crash were Niraj Lavania and Aparna Lavania, a couple residing in Akola, Agra district, Uttar Pradesh. They were traveling to London for a vacation. Niraj worked for a private company in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, while his wife was also employed in a private organization. Their London trip was a privately planned holiday.

News of the accident plunged Akola village, Agra, into mourning. People gathered at their home to offer condolences to the grieving family. Initially, the family struggled to believe the news, but confirmation from media reports and local authorities led to widespread devastation. Official identification of the remains is pending.

BJP Member of Parliament from Fatehpur Sikri, Rajkumar Chahar, visited the bereaved family. He expressed deep sorrow over the incident and pledged all possible assistance to the family. 241 Deaths Confirmed, Air India Issues Statement
Late Thursday night, Air India issued an official statement confirming the death of 241 of the 242 passengers onboard their aircraft. The accident occurred immediately after takeoff when the plane collided with a medical college building approximately 2.5 kilometers from the airport. The aircraft included two pilots, ten crew members, and passengers.
Sole Survivor Hospitalized
The sole survivor has been identified as a British citizen of Indian origin. He was admitted to the trauma center of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital in critical condition. Doctors report his condition is now stable. He was seated in seat 11A, a business class window seat, which has sparked discussion on social media.

The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and Air India teams have arrived on the scene to investigate the plane crash.
