Kejriwal shared a video on the social media platform ‘X,’ featuring comments by BJP-affiliated Manjinder Singh Sirsa. This statement has further fueled the already heated electoral atmosphere.

Kejriwal Accuses BJP-Congress of Collusion

Arvind Kejriwal posted a video of Manjinder Singh Sirsa on X, in which Sirsa is saying, “To defeat Sanjeev Arora (AAP candidate), get any party to win, but don't let him win.” Along with this video, Kejriwal questioned whether the BJP has announced its support for Congress in the Punjab by-election?

Following Kejriwal's tweet, a flurry of accusations and counter-accusations began between political parties. He clarified that this election is not merely between two parties, but a clash between old political alliances and a new, honest politics. He claims that change in the country is only possible by breaking the alliances of old politics.

Aam Aadmi Party's Strong Stance

AAP spokesperson Neel Garg also shared this video, stating that Congress and BJP are birds of a feather. He further alleged that both parties have colluded to deceive the public, maintain power, and share seats. He said that when Congress is weak, BJP is b, and when anger arises against BJP, Congress is brought forward.

Neel Garg said this contest is not Congress versus BJP, but old collusion versus new honest politics. The Aam Aadmi Party is the only alternative that can truly bring about change. He clearly stated that if the Aam Aadmi Party is defeated, it means the country has been distanced from change.

Background of the Ludhiana West By-election

This by-election on the Ludhiana West seat is taking place following the death of the sitting MLA, Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, which vacated the seat. Voting will be held on June 19, and the counting of votes will be declared on June 23. The Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Sanjeev Arora as its candidate. Congress is contesting with Bharat Bhushan Ashu.

The BJP has nominated Jeevan Gupta, and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has fielded Parupkar Singh Ghumnan. This contest is considered quite interesting, as all parties consider this seat crucial for themselves.
