The Jharkhand Board has implemented a grading system based on marks to give students a clear idea of their performance. The grading system information is given here:

  • A+ (Excellent): Above 80% marks
  • A (Very Good): 60% to 80% marks
  • B (Good): 45% to 60% marks
  • C (Average): 33% to 45% marks
  • D (Marginal): Below 33% marks

If a student fails in one or two subjects, they will be given a chance to appear in the compartmental examination. After passing this examination, the student will be considered to have passed the entire class. The compartmental examination is also conducted in the same year.
