Operation Sindoor: Following the recent terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, India launched a major counter-terrorism operation codenamed "Operation Sindoor." Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the Indian Army conducted air strikes on 9 terrorist camps inside Pakistan, resulting in the elimination of at least 100 terrorists.

What is Operation Sindoor?

Operation Sindoor is a retaliatory military operation by India aimed at neutralizing terrorist bases. The operation was meticulously planned and precisely executed. The Indian Air Force targeted areas within Pakistan where terrorist groups were active. This action followed the Pulwama attack, in which Indian soldiers were martyred.

Outcome of the All-Party Meeting:

Following the operation, the central government convened an all-party meeting involving major political parties. The Defense Minister briefed the leaders, stating that the operation was ongoing and that complete details could not be shared.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi expressed their support for the operation, stating that the entire opposition stood with the government during this crisis.

BJD's Sasmit Patra and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also praised the government and the armed forces.

Beware of Fake News:

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, after the all-party meeting, stated that several false reports were circulating on social media, such as claims that a Rafale aircraft had crashed in Bathinda or that India had suffered losses. He clarified that this information was false and urged people to rely only on official sources for news.

Owaisi's Specific Demand:

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi requested the government to declare the civilians killed in Poonch as victims of terrorism and provide them with compensation and housing. He also suggested launching an international campaign against the terrorist organization TRF and urged the US to designate it as a terrorist organization.
