An 11-day mega block will be implemented on the Gorakhpur-Barabanki section of the Northeast Frontier Railway from June 24th to July 4th, 2025. This closure, affecting the Karanailagunj-Saraik, Jarwal Road-Ghaghra Ghat section (totaling 21.41 kilometers), is necessary for the construction of a third railway line.
Railway: The construction of a third line on the Gorakhpur-Barabanki rail section of the Northeast Frontier Railway has significantly impacted passenger travel plans. The laying of this approximately 21.41-kilometer-long third line, from Karanailagunj to Ghaghra Ghat, is in its final stages. Consequently, the railway has announced an 11-day mega block from June 24th to July 4th, 2025.
During this period, several major trains will be canceled, while the routes of many others will be altered. Some trains will have partial terminations or origins, and others will be regulated.

Pre-non-interlocking work will be carried out from June 24th to 30th, followed by non-interlocking work from July 1st to 4th. Subsequently, the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) will conduct inspections and speed trials on July 3rd and 4th.
