Mumbai Dhanbad Train: Passengers traveling on the LTT-Dhanbad Special train from Mumbai to Dhanbad are facing significant inconvenience due to a recent change in the train's schedule. Despite the railway's announcement of the revised timings, a lack of system updates has left approximately 1500 passengers confused.
The train now departs from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) every Thursday at 10:00 AM. However, the railway system still reflects the old timings. This discrepancy is causing passengers to receive outdated information during ticket booking, leading to further confusion regarding their travel plans.
Timings Changed, but Tickets Still Show Old Time
The train departing from LTT on Thursday at 10:00 AM now arrives in Dhanbad at 10:30 PM on Friday. However, ticket bookings still display the old timings: 5:00 PM departure from LTT and 8:00 AM arrival in Dhanbad on Saturday.
Problem Exists in Both Online and Counter Bookings
This issue persists not only at railway counters but also on the online booking platform (IRCTC). Passengers remain uncertain about the train's actual departure and arrival times. Approximately 1500 passengers scheduled to travel on Thursday experienced this confusion.
Railway Updated Timetable, but Central Railway Failed to Update Systems
While the Dhanbad-bound train's timings have been changed and it is departing according to the new schedule, the Central Railway has yet to update its systems. Consequently, tickets for the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-departing train still display the old schedule.
The railway's PRS (Passenger Reservation System) also continues to show the old timings. This creates uncertainty not only for passengers but also for booking desk staff.
