PM Modi in Niti Aayog Meeting: Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented a new vision at the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog on May 24, 2025. The meeting's theme was: "Developed States for a Developed India by 2047". The Prime Minister urged all Chief Ministers to develop each state into a globally competitive tourism destination.

He stated, “We must create a nation where every state attracts global tourists with its unique identity. This will not only strengthen the local economy but also make India a preferred destination for international visitors.”

Urbanization and Future Preparedness

In the meeting, PM Modi emphasized the need for rapid progress in urbanization. He said, “India is undergoing rapid urbanization; therefore, we must prepare our cities keeping future needs in mind. Development, innovation, and sustainability should be the engines of our cities' progress.”

He suggested that each state should develop its major cities as model cities, incorporating smart city technology, improved infrastructure, and environmentally friendly amenities.

One State, One Global Destination

Emphasizing the concept of 'One State, One Global Destination,' PM Modi stated that each state should promote its cultural heritage, natural beauty, and unique features on a global scale. He added that if every state becomes a world-class tourist hub, India could join the ranks of developed nations before 2047.

Target of a Developed India by 2047

The Prime Minister clearly stated in the meeting, “We must make India a developed nation by 2047. For this, it is essential that every state, every city, and every village emerge as a developed model. We must bring the light of development to every citizen so that change is felt in every individual's life.”

Impact of Change Reaching the Common People

Prime Minister Modi said, “The real benefit of policies is only when their impact is visible in the lives of ordinary people. When people themselves feel the change, only then does that change become permanent and take the form of a mass movement. Therefore, we must take every scheme to the ground level.”

PM Modi's Focus on Women's Role

Speaking on women's participation, PM Modi said that we should take concrete steps to increase women's participation in the workforce. He suggested creating laws and policies that provide women with a respectable place in the workforce.
