Prashant Kishor launched his 'Bihar Badlav Yatra' from Sitab Diara, the birthplace of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. Over 120 days, he will visit all 243 assembly constituencies to convey the vision of 'Jan Suraj' to the people.

Bihar Election 2025: Prashant Kishor has embarked on a major political journey today, carrying the message of 'system change' among the people. The 'Bihar Badlav Yatra' commenced from the JP memorial in Sitab Diara, Saran district, the birthplace of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. Prashant Kishor (PK), who transitioned from election strategist to politician, is now fully engaged in election mode, preparing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections in 2025.

Travel to 243 Assembly Constituencies

The purpose of Prashant Kishor's journey is clear—to connect with the people, present the vision of the Jan Suraj Party, and offer a new roadmap for Bihar's development. This journey will last 120 days, during which PK will visit all 243 assembly constituencies. Two to three constituencies will be covered each day. This journey is not merely an election campaign but a comprehensive public outreach program involving direct interaction with the people.

Direct Dialogue with the People

Prashant Kishor and his team will hold public meetings in every assembly constituency, listen to people's concerns, and share the vision of the Jan Suraj Party. During this time, they will highlight the failures of both the government and the opposition to the public.

PK clearly states that Jan Suraj is not just a party but a movement aiming for systemic change.

Connecting the Mission of Change with JP's Legacy

Beginning the Bihar Badlav Yatra from Jayaprakash Narayan's village, Sitab Diara, carries a profound message. PK believes that for the past 35 years, the same people who claim to be followers of JP have been in power, yet they have completely rejected his ideals and principles. Prashant Kishor stated,

"I am starting this journey from JP's village to revive his legacy and give Bihar a new direction."

Previous Padayatras

It is noteworthy that this is not the first time PK has reached out to the people on the streets of Bihar. Earlier, on October 2, 2022, he launched the Jan Suraj Padayatra on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, which lasted for about two years. Through this journey, he listened to the problems of people across the state and formulated a political alternative. The result is the Jan Suraj Party, which was launched on October 2, 2024.

Addressing Key Issues Through the Yatra

The objective of Prashant Kishor's journey is not just campaigning but also highlighting people's issues. He consistently argues that the Bihar government has betrayed the people on issues like caste-based census, land reforms, and Dalit-Mahadalit welfare. PK alleges that these schemes remained mere political agendas, while the ground reality is very different.

Campaign Completion Before Elections

The Jan Suraj Party plans to complete this journey before the election notification is issued, strengthening the foundation of the campaign through direct dialogue with the people. PK believes that no strategy is more effective than direct interaction with the masses.
