A tragic road accident in the Shikarpura area of Rajasthan on Wednesday evening resulted in the death of a young man and left six others seriously injured. The accident occurred when a family returning from a pilgrimage in their car was struck by a speeding motorbike coming from the opposite direction.

The impact was so severe that the front of the car was completely damaged.

The motorbike rider died at the scene. The injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital where they are receiving treatment. The police are investigating the incident and determining the cause of the accident.

How the Accident Happened:

According to eyewitnesses, the collision occurred at approximately 5:30 PM on a bend on the outskirts of Shikarpura. The speeding motorbike rider attempted to overtake the approaching car but lost control and collided directly with it. The impact was so forceful that the motorbike was wrecked, and the front of the car was severely damaged.

Identification of the Deceased

The deceased has been identified as Raju Singh (age 24), a resident of Lasardia village. He was on his way to Shikarpura to meet a friend. He suffered a severe head injury due to not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

The Injured

Six members of the family in the car were injured in the accident. The injured include the husband and wife, their two children, and two elderly individuals. They had traveled from Jaipur to Shikarpura for a pilgrimage and were returning home. The injured were immediately taken to the nearest Community Health Center, from where two seriously injured individuals were referred to the district hospital.

A large crowd gathered at the scene after the accident. Local residents immediately arrived and helped to extricate the family from the car. After informing the police, the Shikarpura police station arrived at the scene and managed the situation. The body of the deceased was sent for a post-mortem, and an investigation into the accident was initiated.

The Station House Officer, Ravi Sharma, stated, "The preliminary investigation reveals that the motorbike rider was speeding and lost control while overtaking. He suffered a serious head injury due to not wearing a helmet. The injured are receiving treatment, and further action is being taken."
