Following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, security has been tightened in Churu, Sikar, and Jhunjhunu districts of Rajasthan. A special investigation drive is underway to identify illegal foreign nationals, and landlords are now required to obtain police verification for their tenants.

Jhunjhunu: In the wake of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, security has been heightened across Rajasthan, particularly in the three districts of Churu, Sikar, and Jhunjhunu in the Shekhawati region. A special operation has been launched to identify and apprehend Bangladeshi and Pakistani nationals residing illegally in these districts.

In this context, the Churu district administration has issued a strict order mandating all landlords, hostel operators, and factory/kiln owners to obtain police verification for their tenants and employees within seven days. Failure to comply will result in legal action.

Tenant Verification Now Mandatory; Strict Action for Non-Compliance

Landlords in Churu district are now required to obtain police verification for their tenants, laborers, and servants. This order was issued based on a proposal from Churu SP Jay Yadav. Landlords must complete the verification within seven days, or face legal consequences. This order will remain in effect for the next two months. Landlords are responsible for ensuring the verification of their tenants and employees to enhance the district's security.

Raids in Churu District: Over 2000 Laborers Questioned

Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, police in the Shekhawati region have intensified efforts to identify illegal foreign nationals. In Churu district, police have raided over 20 brick kilns, factories, and commercial establishments, questioning more than 2000 laborers. Although no illegal Bangladeshi nationals have been apprehended in Churu district yet, over 200 illegal immigrants have been arrested in Sikar and Jhunjhunu.

New Directives for Landlords: Legal Action for Non-Verification

According to the new order from the Churu district administration, legal action may be taken against any landlord, hostel operator, or factory owner who allows individuals to stay on their premises without verification. The administration's clear message is that there will be no compromise on security. Furthermore, several brick kiln owners in the Shekhawati region have been found to be harboring Bangladeshi laborers.

These laborers are brought in from West Bengal through brokers who relocate them annually to different locations to conceal their identities. This is a contributing factor to the rapid increase in the number of illegal immigrants in recent years.

Action in Khandela and Patan: Over 200 Suspicious Individuals Detained

Based on intelligence from the Intelligence Bureau (IB), police conducted raids in Khandela and Patan in Sikar district. In Khandela, police apprehended 55 Bangladeshi nationals working illegally. In Patan, police detained 109 suspicious workers on the same day. Additionally, 35 illegal Bangladeshi nationals were identified and arrested in Jhunjhunu district.

None of these individuals possessed valid documents, confirming their illegal activities. Following these raids, security measures have been further tightened to curb such activities and maintain the safety of the region.
