A Total of 37,773 Challans and 11,425 Vehicle Seizures
The campaign involved a joint operation by the Transport Department and local administration. A total of 37,773 challans were issued, including 3,784 for unregistered e-rickshaws. Furthermore, 11,425 vehicles were seized. Public safety was prioritized throughout the operation, with a strict crackdown on the practice of minors operating e-rickshaws.
Campaign Success Highlighted by Divisional Data
Additional Transport Commissioner (Enforcement), Sanjay Singh, shared a comprehensive report detailing the number of challans issued in each division. Agra recorded 3,684 challans, Lucknow 3,276, Kanpur 2,643, and Ghaziabad 2,389. Significant numbers of challans were also issued in other divisions, demonstrating the campaign's widespread impact.
Ensuring Compliance with Chief Minister's Directives
Following the successful campaign, Uttar Pradesh's Transport Commissioner, Brijesh Narayan Singh, stated that, under the Chief Minister's instructions, measures will be implemented to prevent minors from operating e-rickshaws in the future. He also emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring to maintain road safety and efficient traffic management.
