Late-Night Administrative Reshuffle in Uttarakhand: 38 Officials Transferred

Dehradun. The Uttarakhand government undertook a major administrative reshuffle late at night, transferring a total of 38 officials, including 25 IAS officers, 12 PCS officers, and one Secretariat Service officer. The reshuffle is stated to aim at enhancing administrative efficiency and bringing greater transparency to operations.

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan Takes Charge of Energy Corporations

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has been relieved of all his responsibilities as Additional Chief Secretary. He has been appointed as the Chief Resident Commissioner (New Delhi) and also as the Chairman of UPPCL, PTCUL, and Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam. This change is considered a significant step towards strengthening administration in the energy sector.

R.K. Sudhanshu Takes on Finance and Agriculture Departments

Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu has been given additional charge of the Finance Department, Agriculture Production Commissioner, and Director and Chairman of the Uttarakhand Seed and Terai Development Corporation, in addition to his existing responsibilities. This clearly indicates the government's prioritization of the state's financial policy and the agricultural sector.

Chief Minister's Secretary Shailesh Bagauli has been given additional responsibility of the Personnel and Vigilance Department. This change is based on his administrative experience and will further strengthen the monitoring capacity of the Chief Minister's Office.

Other Key Changes Among Senior Secretaries

Secretary Deependra Kumar Chaudhary has been given responsibility of the Ayush and Ayush Education Department. Ranjana Rajguru has been appointed as Commissioner and Secretary, Revenue Council, a position previously held by Chandresh Kumar Yadav. Secretary (Finance) V. Shanmugam has been given additional charge of Director Audit. C. Ravishankar has been assigned the Forest Department, and Ranvir Singh Chauhan has been given responsibility of the State Property Department.

Reshuffle Among Additional Secretaries

Additional Secretary Sonika has been given charge of Commissioner of Taxes, Inspector General of Registration, and Mela Adhikari, Haridwar Kumbh. Dev Krishna Tiwari has been given the responsibility of CEO, Khadi Gramodyog Board. Abhishek Ruhela has been given additional responsibility of the School Education Department, while Jharna Kamthan has been appointed in the Finance Department. Ravneet Cheema has been given the responsibility of the Social Welfare and Disabled Department.

Changes in Responsibilities of PCS Officers

PCS Banshi Lal Rana has been appointed as the Additional Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Council, Dehradun. Ram Dutt Paliwal has been made the Additional Director of the RS Tolia Administration Academy. Dr. Abhishek Tripathi has been given the responsibility of Chief Development Officer, Chamoli. Varuna Agrawal has been appointed as the Chief Development Officer of Tehri Garhwal and Anamika as the Chief Development Officer of Nainital.

Among other officials, Arvind Kumar Pandey has been given the responsibility of Divisional Food Inspector, Garhwal region, while Avadhesh Kumar Singh has been appointed as Additional District Magistrate, Tehri Garhwal. PCS Dinesh Pratap Singh has been made the Joint Chief Administrator, Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority, Dehradun.
