This examination was held on April 20th, 2025, and thousands of candidates participated to fill the 212 vacant positions.
On May 10th, 2025, CBSE released the results and invited the shortlisted candidates for the next stage: a Skill Test.
Recruitment for 212 Positions; Examination Held in Two Shifts
A total of 212 positions are to be filled under this recruitment process by CBSE. Of these, 142 positions are for Superintendent (Group B) and 70 positions are for Junior Assistant (Group C). The examination was conducted in two shifts: the Junior Assistant examination in the morning shift and the Superintendent examination in the afternoon shift. This OMR-based examination was conducted peacefully at designated examination centers across the country.

Candidates who appeared for this examination can check their results by visiting the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. The board has made available the scores and shortlisting status on candidates' individual logins.
Skill Test: The Next Major Stage
Following the written examination (Tier-1), the selected candidates will now have to undergo a Skill Test, which is the second and final stage of the recruitment process. This examination will be qualifying only; the marks obtained will not be added to the final merit list, but passing the examination is mandatory.
Features of the Selection Process
CBSE has divided the selection process for Superintendent and Junior Assistant positions into two tiers:
1. Tier-1 (OMR-based Written Examination)
- Total Questions: 150
- Total Marks: 450
- Time: 2 hours
- 3 marks for correct answers and 1 mark negative marking for incorrect answers
- Examination Level: Equivalent to 12th Standard (Senior Secondary)
2. Tier-2 (Skill Test)
- Nature: Qualifying
- Selection: Based solely on Tier-1 performance
