Batting first after losing the toss, Lucknow posted 205 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs.

However, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan steadied the ship, forging a quick 82-run partnership for the second wicket off just 35 balls. Abhishek smashed 59 runs off only 20 balls, including five sixes and four fours, before being caught by Shardul Thakur off Digvesh Rathi's bowling. Kishan (35 runs) and Klassen (47 runs) then maintained the momentum. Klassen's aggressive batting kept the pressure on Lucknow.
Kamindu Mendis retired hurt on 32 runs after appearing to suffer a hamstring injury. Finally, Ankit Verma and Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed five runs each to guide the team over the finish line. Hyderabad achieved the target in 18.2 overs, losing four wickets in the process.
