Olympians Kynan Chenai and Sabiha Haris have brought glory to India by winning a bronze medal in the ISSF Shotgun World Cup 2025 trap mixed team event. The competition concluded on Sunday.

Sports News: India opened its account with a bronze medal in the exciting matches of the ISSF Shotgun World Cup 2025. The experienced and young duo of Indian trap shooters Kynan Chenai and Sabiha Haris delivered a stellar performance in the trap mixed team event, securing a bronze medal for India. The competition was held in Lonato, Italy.

India's Victory in a Close Contest

In the bronze medal match held on Sunday, the Indian pair faced Turkey's Tolga Tuncer and Pelin Kaya. The match remained tight until the final shot, but ultimately, the Kynan-Sabiha pair emerged victorious with a close score of 34-33, claiming the bronze medal. With this victory, India concluded the tournament with a single medal, but this medal exemplifies experience and resilience.

The pair of Kynan and Sabiha also performed bly in the qualification round. They secured the fourth position among 34 teams with 142 points. This score was achieved after 75-75 shots. Meanwhile, the other Indian pair, Shardul Vihan and Kirti Gupta, secured 17th place with 137 points and did not qualify for the final round.

China Wins Gold, Poland Wins Silver

The Chinese team delivered an outstanding performance in this event, winning the gold medal. They defeated Poland 42-39 in the final match. Despite this impressive fight, Poland had to settle for the silver medal. In the competition's medal table, neutral athletes topped the list, securing first place by winning two out of five gold medals.

China finished second with one gold and one silver medal, while Spain and Italy jointly secured third place by winning one gold medal each.
