Akhilesh Yadav Challenges BJP's Governance Record, Highlights Unresolved Issues

Akhilesh Yadav Questions BJP's Claims of Achievements

Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party chief, bly criticized BJP president J.P. Nadda's claims of the central government's achievements over the past 11 years. He stated that government schemes haven't translated into tangible changes on the ground, and issues like unemployment and inflation remain unresolved.

UP Politics: Lack of Coordination Alleged

Akhilesh Yadav asserted a lack of coordination between the Delhi and Lucknow governments. He questioned the impact of government initiatives, highlighting the unchanged conditions in villages adopted by the Prime Minister. This raises questions about the governments' effectiveness in serving the public, he added.

Direct Attack on Nadda's Claims

The Samajwadi Party chief reacted sharply to BJP national president J.P. Nadda's press conference outlining the central government's achievements over 11 years. Speaking to reporters in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav said that while schemes are underway, there is a visible lack of coordination between the central and state governments.

He pointed out that the conditions in villages adopted by the Prime Minister remain unchanged, indicating that the benefits of government schemes are not reaching the grassroots level. This, he argued, questions the Uttar Pradesh government's performance.

20 Years of Governance, Yet Public Remains Distressed

Yadav questioned the BJP's 20-year combined rule (11 years at the center and 9 years in the state), demanding accountability for the lack of improvement in the lives of ordinary citizens. He highlighted that Uttar Pradesh continues to grapple with unemployment and inflation, with people struggling for justice while the governments remain preoccupied with figures and claims.

Nadda's Claims: From Article 370 to Empowerment

In a June 9th press conference, BJP president J.P. Nadda presented a list of the central government's accomplishments. He claimed the Modi government had demonstrated the ability to achieve the seemingly impossible.

Nadda cited the revocation of Article 370, increased voter turnout in Jammu and Kashmir, welfare schemes for SC/ST/OBC communities, and increased women's participation. He highlighted women's commissioning in the armed forces, increased enrollment in Sainik Schools, and the promotion of Self Help Groups (SHGs).

Akhilesh Raises Employment and Inflation Concerns

Rejecting Nadda's claims, the SP chief demanded answers regarding the rise in unemployment, lack of job opportunities for youth, and the unchecked inflation. He criticized the Delhi and Lucknow governments for prioritizing publicity over on-the-ground action, stating that the public needs solutions to daily problems, not just grand speeches.
