Father Accuses Meghalaya Police of Implicating Daughter in Murder Case

Sonam's Father Accuses Meghalaya Police of Implicating His Daughter. He has demanded a CBI investigation, asserting his daughter's innocence and the need to uncover the truth.

Sonam Murder Case: Following the arrest of Sonam Raghuvanshi in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case in Indore, her father, Devi Singh, has leveled serious allegations against the Meghalaya Police. He claims his daughter is innocent and has been falsely implicated. Devi Singh stated that Sonam went to Ghazipur of her own accord and called her brother from there, after which the police took her into custody. He believes the Meghalaya Police are fabricating a story and deeming Sonam guilty without concrete evidence.

Marriage was with both families' consent

Devi Singh stated that Sonam and Raja's marriage was with the consent of both families. He clarified that his daughter could never harm her husband. There was no known discord between them after the marriage. He insists that any problems would have surfaced earlier.

Demand for CBI Investigation

The family demands a CBI investigation to ensure an impartial inquiry. Devi Singh mentioned that he will meet the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to request a high-level investigation. He warned that if a proper investigation is not conducted, Meghalaya police officials might face imprisonment.

Police Accused of Hasty Media Trial

Devi Singh accused the police of conducting a media trial to preemptively pronounce his daughter guilty. He stated that Sonam is under immense mental stress and should be given a fair opportunity to present her side of the story. He reiterated his demand for an impartial investigation to bring the truth to light.
