China and Pakistan are conspiring to enlist Bangladesh in a strategy to encircle India. Mohammed Yunus's role and ISI activity are increasing.
Pakistan: Although a ceasefire followed the recent four-day military conflict between India and Pakistan, tensions remain high. India has made it clear that any terrorist attack will now be considered an act of war. Meanwhile, China and Pakistan are planning a new offensive against India, involving Bangladesh and Mohammed Yunus.
The Pak-China Alliance Challenge
Pakistan and China have jointly devised a new strategy against India. In the recent military clash, the Pakistani army relied on Chinese weaponry, but the Indian Air Force completely neutralized the Pakistani air defense system. This significantly damaged China's reputation. Now, both countries are shifting their focus from Kashmir to India's eastern border.
Bangladesh's Role and Mohammed Yunus's Influence
Although Bangladesh, under Sheikh Hasina's leadership, had previously maintained distance from this alliance, its economic and political landscape is changing. Mohammed Yunus, a key advisor to Bangladesh's interim government, is playing a crucial role in this alliance. In March 2025, he described Bangladesh as a maritime guardian for Northeast India, linking it to China's economic expansion.
Pakistan's Conspiracy and ISI Activity
Pakistan is using Mohammed Yunus to advance Chinese interests in Bangladesh. Simultaneously, the ISI, Pakistan's intelligence agency, is plotting to remove Bangladesh's Army Chief, General Wakar-uz-Zaman. In January 2025, four senior ISI officers, led by NSA Lieutenant General Asim Malik, arrived in Dhaka. However, most army generals stand firmly with General Zaman.
China's Increasing Activity and Anti-India Measures
China is attempting to diminish India's trade dominance in Bangladesh by increasing imports of inexpensive textiles, machinery, and other goods. Pakistan's ISI is also providing financial support to extremist groups in Bangladesh, such as Hefazat-e-Islam and Jamaat-e-Islami, to speak out against India.
Attempt to Create Unrest in Northeast India
Pakistan aims to incite unrest against India by activating insurgent groups in Northeast India. This is being attempted with the help of pro-Pakistan groups in Bangladesh. The recent seizure of Pakistani weapons in Tripura and Assam indicates this activity.
Challenges for India and Future Strategy
India must remain vigilant and prepared to counter this new China-Pakistan front. Strengthening the security of the northeastern border and reinforcing regional cooperation are necessary. The Indian government needs to take proactive steps, both diplomatically and strategically, to address these threats.
