This appointment sparked considerable controversy. Mamta has spoken at length for the first time about the matter, sharing her perspective. She stated that this was the fruit of 25 years of rigorous penance and a manifestation of God's will.

Mamta Kulkarni Said - 'The Result of 25 Years of Penance'

In an interview with the media, Mamta Kulkarni described becoming a Mahamandaleshwar as a divine blessing, a first in nearly 140 years. She said, "God gave me the fruits of my 25 years of penance. This is a great honor for me." She also stated that this position in spiritual practice is a reward, the greatest achievement of her life.

In 2019, Mamta relinquished her film career, embracing renunciation and adding 'Shri Yamai Mamta Nandgiri' to her name. She said her life is now dedicated to the propagation of Sanātana Dharma and spiritual upliftment. Regarding the controversy and resignation following her appointment at the Kumbh Mela, Mamta responded calmly and clearly: "This position was in God's hands, and I was chosen for this role. The controversies have not diverted my focus from spiritual practice."

No Interest in Politics

Mamta clarified that she has no intention of entering politics. Associated with Kalki Dham, Mamta explained that she is considered the 10th incarnation of Kalki Vishnu and had the privilege of participating in a foundation stone laying ceremony. She stated, "My aim is solely the propagation of Sanātana Dharma; I have no plans for politics."

Mamta Kulkarni openly expressed her affection and respect for Muslims. She mentioned finding considerable peace in Dubai during her spiritual practice and receiving much love from the people there. She explicitly stated, "I love Muslims, but I absolutely do not condone terrorism. Terrorists are not associated with any religion, caste, or relative; they are simply terrorists."

Mamta's statement conveys a positive message towards social harmony and peace. She also mentioned that many still doubt the existence of God, but she believes in God's infinite and omnipresent existence.
