Delhi News: The Delhi government has taken a significant step to curb the arbitrary fee hikes imposed by private schools. A meeting of the BJP MLA group was held at the Delhi Secretariat on Sunday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The meeting decided to convene a two-day special session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly on May 13th and 14th to introduce the "Private School Fee Control Bill."

Bill to provide relief to parents

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that this bill will provide relief to millions of Delhi parents who have been burdened by the uncontrolled fee hikes of private schools for years. She said, "This step is a major and decisive effort towards securing the future of children."

Delhi Cabinet had already approved the bill

It is noteworthy that the Delhi Cabinet had already given its approval to this bill. Minister Ashish Sood had presented the agenda for this, which was unanimously approved. Currently, there is no law in Delhi that clearly regulates the determination and increase of fees by private schools.

Government takes action following complaints from parents

For some time, there has been resentment among parents regarding the fee hikes by private schools. Numerous complaints reached the Delhi government. The government took these complaints seriously and has now decided to call a special session to take effective action in this regard.
