Major Administrative Reshuffle in India: 66 IAS and IPS Officers Transferred

The Union Home Ministry has undertaken a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 66 IAS and IPS officers across the country. This move is seen as an effort to streamline governance and enhance administrative efficiency.

New Delhi: The central government has implemented a significant reshuffle within its administrative structure. The Union Home Ministry has issued a notification detailing the transfers and new postings of a total of 66 officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS). This reshuffle aims to improve administrative efficiency and work balance in Union Territories, special areas, and North Eastern states.

This reshuffle includes the recall of senior IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Yadav from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi. Meanwhile, DCP Devesh Mahla of New Delhi and DCP Surender Chaudhary of the South West district have been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh. These officers have been assigned new responsibilities in areas such as Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar, Mizoram, Chandigarh, and Ladakh.
