India adopts a b global stance against terrorism. A delegation, led by Shashi Tharoor, has embarked on a five-nation tour to expose Pakistan's role.
National Delegation: Following the Pulwama terror attack and Operation Sundar, India has taken a significant step to amplify its voice against terrorism on the global stage. A multi-party delegation, led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, departed Friday night on a tour of five countries, including the United States. The aim of this tour is to inform the world that India will no longer remain silent on terrorism and will expose Pakistan's lies and terrorist networks.
Five-Nation Tour, First Stop Guyana
Tharoor stated that their first stop is Georgetown, Guyana, where they will participate in Independence Day celebrations and meet with senior officials and ministers. The delegation will then visit the United States, Panama, Brazil, and Colombia. In New York, the delegation will visit the 9/11 Memorial and convey the message that India understands the pain of terrorism and will not silently endure it.
‘We will tell the world what we have endured’
Before departing from Delhi airport, Tharoor told the media, "We will not silently endure the scourge of terrorism. We must speak out and tell the world what we have suffered from terrorism, the steps we have taken, and our future strategy." He added that the world should learn from India's experiences, as terrorism is no longer a problem confined to one country but a threat to global peace.
Tejasvi Surya: The world must understand India's zero-tolerance policy
BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, a member of the delegation, stated that Prime Minister Modi has entrusted them with the responsibility of explaining to the world that India has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. He said that Pakistan's nurturing of terrorist bases and promotion of terrorism poses a serious threat not only to India but also to global security.

This delegation includes MPs from various parties including Congress, BJP, Shiv Sena, TDP, LJP, and JMM. Prominent members include Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhuvneshwar Kalita, Tejasvi Surya, Milind Deora, Shambhavi Chaudhary, G.M. Harish Kumar, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and former US Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Dr. Varun Jef, Director of the Indian Ocean Region, is also part of the team.
Second team departs for Gulf countries, led by Jay Panda
Simultaneously, another team, led by BJP MP Jay Bajayanta Panda, has departed for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. This delegation includes senior leaders such as Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Asaduddin Owaisi, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and former Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla.
