India's Operation Sindhur: Targeted Strikes on Terrorist Infrastructure in Pakistan

S. Jaishankar: India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, recently bly rejected third-party intervention in PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir), stating that the Kashmir issue is a bilateral matter between India and Pakistan. He also criticized China, asserting that satellite imagery confirms the extent of damage inflicted on Pakistan by India. Furthermore, Jaishankar elaborated on Operation Sindhur and recent military actions.

Operation Sindhur: Terrorist Bases Destroyed

Referring to Operation Sindhur, Jaishankar explained that this operation resulted in the destruction of terrorist infrastructure. He stated that India had previously informed Pakistan that the attack would target terrorist bases, not military installations. India also advised Pakistan against interfering in the operation, but Pakistan disregarded this advice and attacked India. In response, India carried out a precise counter-offensive.

Jaishankar also mentioned that satellite images clearly demonstrate the significant damage inflicted on Pakistan by India, in contrast to the minimal damage sustained by India. He stated, "The world witnessed Pakistan's use of Chinese drones for infiltration into Indian territory."

Demand for a UNSC Ban on TRF Following Pulwama Terrorist Attack

Following the Pulwama terrorist attack, India decided to present evidence to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) against the terrorist organization, TRF (Tripura Resistance Force), advocating for an immediate ban on the group. Jaishankar noted that India is receiving international support on this issue, with several countries calling for severe punishment for those responsible for the Pulwama attack.

Kashmir Issue is Bilateral; Third-Party Intervention Unacceptable

The External Affairs Minister sent a clear message to the US that the Kashmir issue is solely between India and Pakistan. He stated, "Intervention by any third party is unacceptable." This statement comes amidst growing international pressure regarding the Kashmir issue. Jaishankar also reiterated that India will only discuss Kashmir once Pakistan vacates illegally occupied territories.

Pakistan Must Return Occupied Kashmir: Jaishankar

Jaishankar clarified that the only possible discussion on Kashmir is the evacuation of Indian territory from areas under Pakistani occupation. He stated, "We are prepared for this discussion, but only if Pakistan ends its illegal occupation."

He also explained that India has taken b measures against Pakistan to curb cross-border terrorism. This is why India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty. Jaishankar stated, "The Indus Waters Treaty will remain suspended until Pakistan completely halts cross-border terrorism."

Foreign Minister's Statement on India-Pakistan Military Action

Jaishankar stated that satellite imagery and events clearly indicate which side intended to cease fire. He said, "Pakistan initiated the attack, but our military responded decisively and destroyed the terrorist infrastructure."
