This article allows the administration to take b action against any government employee found involved in promoting or supporting terrorism.

Who are the Dismissed Employees?

The three government employees dismissed on June 3rd are:

1. Malik Ishfaq Nasir – Constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Malik Ishfaq had served in the police since 2007. Investigations revealed his active collaboration with Lashkar-e-Taiba. His family also has links to terrorism; his brother, Malik Asif Nasir, a Pakistan-trained terrorist, was killed by security forces in 2018. Even while serving in the police, Malik Ishfaq aided in the smuggling of weapons and explosives.

2. Ajaz Ahmad – Teacher in the School Education Department.

Ajaz misused his position to provide information and assistance to terrorist organizations. While working in the education department, he remained active in the terrorist network, posing a threat to students and society.

3. Wasim Ahmad Khan – Junior Assistant at a government medical college in Srinagar.

Wasim aided in furthering terrorist activities against security forces and civilians. Despite being in the medical field, he engaged in acts supporting terrorism.

Three Employees Dismissed in February as Well

This is not the first instance of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha dismissing government employees linked to terrorism. In February 2025, three employees were dismissed on similar charges. These included police constable Firdaus Ahmad Bhat, teacher Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, and forest department orderly Nisar Ahmad Khan. This demonstrates the Jammu and Kashmir administration's continuous monitoring and strict action in this area.

‘Zero Tolerance’ Policy Against Terrorism

Under Manoj Sinha's leadership, Jammu and Kashmir's strict anti-terrorism policy has been strengthened. His government has not only targeted terrorists but also taken b measures to weaken their support networks. Action against OGWs and supporters within the government apparatus has bolstered security in the region.

This policy has given new impetus to the fight against terrorism and sent a message that the government will not tolerate support for terrorism at any level. Government employees aiding terrorist activities are not only violating the law but also committing treason against the nation. Therefore, their immediate dismissal and legal prosecution were necessary.
