PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently unveiled his Triple T formula at the inaugural innovation summit, 'Yugm,' held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. This formula, encompassing Talent, Temperament, and Technology, is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming India's future. The Prime Minister emphasized that India's future rests on its young generation, highlighting the necessity of equipping them through education, innovation, and technology.

A New Era of Education and Innovation in India

Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the modernization of the Indian education system in line with 21st-century needs under the new National Education Policy. He explained that children are now being exposed to innovation and technology from a young age to foster the generation of future solutions and ideas. Furthermore, Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) are empowering children to take their creativity and innovative thinking to new levels.

₹1400 Crore Agreement in Biosciences and AI

At the summit, the Wadhwani Foundation, in collaboration with IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, and the National Research Foundation (NRF), announced a ₹1400 crore agreement focusing on AI, intelligent systems, and biosciences. This initiative will propel India towards new frontiers in innovation.

Surge in Research and Patents

Prime Minister Modi stated that research and innovation have seen a significant acceleration over the past decade. Expenditure on research, which stood at ₹60,000 crore in 2013-14, has now increased to over ₹1.25 lakh crore. Similarly, patent filings have risen dramatically, from approximately 40,000 in 2014 to over 80,000 currently.

Delivering Research Benefits to the Masses

The Prime Minister emphasized that the time available to achieve the goal of a developed India is limited, and the targets are ambitious. Therefore, it is crucial to shorten the journey from prototype to product to ensure that the benefits of research reach the people quickly. This requires educational institutions, investors, and the industry to support and guide researchers.
