Yogi Adityanath Urges Akhilesh Yadav to Maintain Social Media Decorum

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath advises Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to maintain restraint and decorum on social media amidst a dispute with Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak.

UP Politics: A significant controversy has erupted in Uttar Pradesh's political landscape between Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party (SP), and the state's Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has responded for the first time, not only expressing his opinion on the dispute but also advising the SP chief to maintain decorum and restraint on social media.

The Dispute's Genesis and Escalating Rhetoric

The controversy began with a statement by Brajesh Pathak regarding DNA testing. Subsequently, the Samajwadi Party's media cell posted a contentious comment about Pathak on social media, further escalating tensions. BJP leaders deemed the comment inappropriate and filed an FIR. The SP media cell later removed the controversial post, but the matter did not end there. Akhilesh Yadav then offered advice to Health Minister Brajesh Pathak regarding the controversial statement. In response, Pathak reminded the SP chief that the understanding of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia's socialism is absent in today's SP.

CM Yogi's First Response

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath responded to the entire sequence of events, indirectly advising the top leadership of the SP without naming anyone directly. He stated that while expecting ideal conduct from the Samajwadi Party might be difficult, civilized society cannot tolerate their unbecoming and indecent statements.

Yogi stated on social media that the SP leadership should review their social media handles and ensure that the language used is decorous, restrained, and dignified. His message clearly indicated a need to curb the negativity and abusive language spreading on social media.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya's Swift Statement

Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also reacted to the controversy. He stated that 'familial socialism' has now completely transformed into 'thuggery'. Maurya's statement implied that power and family politics within the SP have eroded its socialist ideology.
