Delhi and NCR are expected to have partly cloudy skies on Monday. The maximum temperature may reach around 38°C, and the minimum temperature may hover around 28°C. The meteorological department has predicted light rain or showers, offering some respite from the scorching heat. Wind speeds are expected to be 6-12 km/h, with moderate humidity.
Uttar Pradesh: Relief in the West, Heatwave in the East
Uttar Pradesh will experience varied weather conditions. Western districts like Meerut, Saharanpur, and Noida are likely to experience light rain with thunderstorms and b winds (20-30 km/h). However, eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Gorakhpur, Ballia, and Varanasi, will continue to experience a heatwave. Lucknow is expected to see a maximum temperature of 42°C and a minimum of 30°C. Farmers and senior citizens are advised to exercise caution.
Bihar: Heatwave Concerns Rise
Most parts of Bihar are experiencing intense heat and a heatwave. The meteorological department does not anticipate a significant drop in temperature over the next 24 hours. Patna's maximum temperature could reach 42°C, while the minimum will be around 29°C. While some areas may see light rain, the relief will be limited.
West Bengal: Divided Weather Pattern
West Bengal shows a clear difference in weather between the north and south. North Bengal continues to experience a heatwave, while southern districts – particularly Kolkata and its surrounding areas – are expected to see light rain and winds at 15-25 km/h. Kolkata's maximum temperature may reach 40°C, and the minimum 28°C.
Rajasthan: Heat and Dust Storms
Districts like Jaipur, Bikaner, and Jodhpur in Rajasthan may experience maximum temperatures exceeding 42°C. The meteorological department has issued a warning for dust storms. While some areas may see light rain and b winds, the overall weather will remain hot and dry.
Gujarat and Maharashtra: Coastal Rain
Ahmedabad in Gujarat and the Konkan region of Maharashtra are expected to experience light rain with thunderstorms and winds at 20-30 km/h. The meteorological department has advised fishermen against venturing into the sea. Temperatures may reach 41°C in Ahmedabad and 35°C in Mumbai.
Hill States: Expected Rain and Snow
Hill states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir will experience pleasant weather. Shimla may see light to moderate rain, with a maximum temperature of 24°C and a minimum of 14°C. Dehradun's temperature may reach 34°C. Srinagar is likely to experience light rain, and higher altitude areas may see snowfall.
