According to the BCB, the board has received no formal communication from IPL officials regarding Mustafizur's participation, nor has Mustafizur himself formally requested permission from the BCB to play in the IPL.
Nazmul Hassan Papon stated, "We are not against playing in the IPL, but it is also essential for a player to play for their country. If we allow Mustafizur to play in the IPL, we would also have to allow players like Rishaad Hussain and Nahid Rana to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). We cannot discriminate against any player; it would be against the board's policy."

The league stage of IPL 2025 is extremely important for Delhi Capitals. The team has three matches remaining, which will be crucial in securing a playoff spot.
