BJP Woman Leader Ankita Verma Joins JMM with Hundreds of Women
Jharkhand Politics: Jharkhand's political landscape is witnessing significant activity. The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has achieved a major political victory with Ankita Verma, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s women's executive committee, joining the party. Hundreds of women from Ranchi also joined the JMM, strengthening the party's grassroots base.
Grand Welcome into the Party; JMM General Secretary Administers Pledge
At a ceremony held at the JMM's Ranchi office, General Secretary and spokesperson Vinod Pandey warmly welcomed the new members. He detailed the party's policies and principles, and administered a pledge to actively contribute to the state's development.
Expressing Faith in Shibu Soren and Hemant Soren's Policies
The newly joined workers expressed faith in the leadership of party mentor Shibu Soren and Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The women stated their desire to work with the JMM for the development of Jharkhand.

Among the women who joined the JMM alongside Ankita Verma are Rani Devi, Sarita Devi, Madhu Devi, Sudha Devi, Anita Devi, Babita Devi, Lakshmi Devi, Arti Devi, Sangita Devi, Sunita Devi, and Gudiya Devi. These women activists have been socially and politically active.
Presence of Key Leaders Noted
Several senior party leaders were present at the membership ceremony, including Ranchi District Coordinator Mustaq Alam, central member Ashwini Sharma, Dr. Hemlal Mehta, Nayantara Uraon, Sandhya Gudiya, and Pradeep Mirdha.
Accusations of Anti-Tribal, Anti-Indigenous Politics Against BJP
Meanwhile, JMM General Secretary Vinod Pandey launched a scathing attack on the BJP, alleging that the party is plotting to divide tribals and indigenous people in the state under the guise of Bangladeshi infiltration. He accused the BJP of a calculated conspiracy to disrupt Jharkhand's unity.
Questioning Central Government Policies
He stated that the real aim of the Special Task Force formed by the central government is to intimidate and weaken the tribal community. Pandey also alleged that the BJP never recognized the Sarna religion code during its tenure, a major demand of the tribal community.
Targeting BJP on Women's Safety
Addressing the issue of women's safety, Pandey said the BJP has no moral right to question the Jharkhand government. He asserted that the central government is solely responsible for securing international borders and should answer for any infiltration.
