Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan clarified that Jyoti Malhotra was indeed in contact with Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIOs), but the investigation has yet to uncover any evidence of direct links to terrorist organizations.

Police have dismissed reports claiming a diary was found in the accused's possession or that she was involved in a terrorist plot. SP Sawan stated, "We have seized a laptop and other electronic devices from the accused, which are undergoing forensic examination. So far, the investigation has not confirmed any connection with any terrorist organization."

Jyoti, a resident of New Agrasen Colony, Hisar, is accused of sending information to Pakistan. However, the police did not specify the nature of the information shared. It was also clarified that no evidence has been found so far to suggest the accused had access to any military, defense, or sensitive political information.
