States Most Affected: Kerala and Maharashtra
In terms of states, Kerala has reported the highest number of active coronavirus cases, with 430 patients currently battling COVID-19. Maharashtra has 209 active cases, Delhi 104, and Karnataka 47. Health department teams are conducting surveillance and testing campaigns in these areas. Meanwhile, states like Andaman and Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir have reported no active cases.
Reports of Coronavirus-Related Deaths
Along with the rising number of coronavirus cases, reports of deaths are also emerging from several areas. Four deaths have been reported in Maharashtra, two in Kerala, and one in Karnataka. Experts say that the coronavirus has not been completely eradicated, and taking it lightly can be dangerous.

The Ministry of Health has appealed to people to avoid any negligence. The ministry has advised people to avoid crowded places and wear masks if necessary.
