India warns Pakistan that any future dialogue will solely focus on the evacuation of PoK, rejecting any third-party intervention. India also adopted a firm stance on Pakistan's role in terrorism.
New Delhi: In a media briefing on Thursday, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi made India's position on Pakistan unequivocally clear. He stated that any dialogue between India and Pakistan would be strictly bilateral and would not tolerate any third-party interference.
Bagchi asserted that dialogue and terrorism cannot coexist. He reiterated Pakistan's obligation to act on the list of notorious terrorists submitted by India years ago.
'Dialogue Only on PoK Evacuation'
India declared that any future engagement with Pakistan will exclusively center on the issue of PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir). While this stance has been previously articulated, it has now been emphatically reiterated. India maintains that PoK is Indian territory and Pakistan must relinquish its control.
The spokesperson stated, "Our position is crystal clear. Dialogue with Pakistan will only be on the evacuation of PoK, and on no other issue."
India's Strong Stance on Terrorism
India once again directly addressed Pakistan's role in terrorism. Bagchi stated that India seeks the apprehension of terrorists involved in attacks within India who are openly operating in Pakistan. India has previously submitted a list of these individuals to Pakistan.
He added that India is prepared to discuss the process of handing over these terrorists, but Pakistan has not offered a positive response.
Indus Waters Treaty Remains Suspended
India also clarified its position regarding the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan. Bagchi stated that the treaty remains suspended and will not be relaxed until Pakistan takes concrete steps against terrorism.
India believes that water and blood cannot flow together, and normal relations are impossible as long as terrorism continues.
Multilateral Delegations to Expose Pakistan
India has initiated another significant measure. The Ministry of External Affairs announced the deployment of seven multilateral delegations to various countries. Three teams have already departed. The objective of these delegations is to expose Pakistan's role in terrorism on international platforms.
