India Launches International Anti-Terrorism Campaign
India has initiated an international campaign against terrorism. A team of Indian parliamentarians will visit 33 countries to share information about the Pulwama terror attack and Operation Sindoor, exposing Pakistan's role in supporting terrorism.
Operation Sindoor: The Pulwama terror attack and India's subsequent 'Operation Sindoor' not only heightened national security awareness but also signaled a shift in India's global strategy. In response, the central government has decided to send a special delegation of parliamentarians and senior diplomats on a tour of 33 countries.
The delegation's objective is not merely to share information about the attack, but also to demonstrate to the international community how Pakistan supports terrorism and poses a threat to global peace.
Seven-Part Delegation Team, Tour Begins May 23
Under the supervision of the Ministry of External Affairs, this delegation has been divided into seven distinct groups. Each group will visit countries in different regions. The tour will commence on May 23, 2025, and conclude on June 3, 2025.
The team includes parliamentarians from various political parties, as well as experienced and retired diplomats from the Ministry of External Affairs, to ensure India's message is effectively conveyed globally.
China, Turkey, and Azerbaijan Excluded from the Tour
The list of countries the delegation will visit does not include countries like China, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. This clearly indicates that India will no longer engage with nations that ignore India's security concerns or indirectly support Pakistan.
Following the Pulwama attack, Prime Minister Modi directly engaged with leaders from countries such as the US, Russia, France, and the UK, but China was excluded. Similarly, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar contacted all temporary UNSC member countries except Pakistan and Somalia.
Countries to be Visited: UNSC and OIC Key Targets
The Indian delegation will particularly focus on permanent and temporary member countries of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Direct communication will also be established with countries belonging to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) that have traditionally been friendly with India.

Opposition Included, but Some Dissent Remains
This delegation includes parliamentarians from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as well as opposition parties such as the Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), and DMK. The government aims to convey a message of unity in India's fight against terrorism.
However, the Trinamool Congress has expressed some reservations regarding foreign policy and insisted on selecting its own representative. In this context, Mamata Banerjee has nominated her nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, to the team.
