Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday commended the Indian Armed Forces for their execution of 'Operation Sindur'. This operation involved nighttime strikes against terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the counter-terrorism strikes carried out by the Indian Armed Forces under 'Operation Sindur' on Wednesday. The Indian Army and Air Force conducted strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), successfully neutralizing nine terrorist camps. Following the operation, Prime Minister Modi praised the security forces' actions during a cabinet meeting, expressing his commendation for their efforts.

Cabinet Meeting Commends Security Forces

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday, where Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed the cabinet extensively on 'Operation Sindur'. All cabinet members applauded the operation's success, acknowledging the security forces' efforts with a resounding show of appreciation. On this occasion, the Prime Minister stated that his government maintains a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and that terrorists would not be spared under any circumstances.

Sources indicate that the Prime Minister also held a separate meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, reviewing the current situation and discussing future strategies. Prime Minister Modi's message was clear: India is fully committed to its security and will not tolerate any form of terrorist attacks.

Operation Sindur: A Decisive Blow Against Terrorism

'Operation Sindur' aimed to neutralize terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. The Indian Armed Forces executed this operation in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. The Indian Army and Air Force used missiles to target numerous terrorist bases, including a Jaish-e-Mohammed bhold in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, and a Lashkar-e-Taiba facility in Muridke. This operation followed a decision to retaliate for a terrorist attack in Pulwama, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

The armed forces targeted terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK, ensuring the complete destruction of the terrorist organizations and their infrastructure. Security experts lauded the operation's success, highlighting the precision and swiftness with which the Indian Armed Forces executed their strategy, delivering a significant blow to terrorist organizations.

Retaliation for the Pulwama Attack

This operation served as retaliation for the terrorist attack in Pulwama, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians. Following the attack, the Indian government pledged to take b action against terrorism. Prime Minister Modi instructed the security forces to act with full autonomy in avenging the attack. Subsequently, the Indian Armed Forces planned and executed 'Operation Sindur', successfully targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan.
