UP News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public gathering in Kasganj district, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹724 crore. He stated that the pace of development in the state would be accelerated, and the pilgrimage site of Soron would be developed on the lines of Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura.
Targeting Previous Governments
Beginning his speech, Chief Minister Yogi accused previous governments of corruption and anti-development policies. He said, "Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh witnessed only loot and plunder. Plans remained on paper and were engulfed in corruption." He further stated that since the BJP government came to power, hooliganism, mafia rule, and corruption have been curbed, and the public is now receiving basic amenities like electricity, roads, water, and law and order in a timely manner.
Soron to Receive Pilgrimage Site Status
The Chief Minister specifically mentioned Soron, a region of historical significance. He stated that this land is sacred, associated with the third avatar of Lord Vishnu and great saints like Kapil Muni. He reiterated his commitment to developing Soron on par with Ayodhya, Mathura, Kashi, and Vrindavan.
CM Yogi explained that the development of pilgrimage sites would not only boost religious tourism but also create employment and business opportunities for locals.
Public Interaction and Support
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Kasganj police lines, was attended by a crowd of over 20,000 people. CM Yogi directly interacted with the public from the stage, assuring them of development. He stated that the government's priority is to uplift Kasganj and surrounding areas from backwardness and bring them into the mainstream of development.
During the Chief Minister's address, the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as the crowd chanted "Jai Shri Ram" and "Yogi Adityanath Zindabad."
Announced Projects
The Chief Minister also announced several significant development projects for the district:
- Development and beautification of Dariyaganj Lake
- Beautification of the Jhala Bridge in Nadrai
- Establishment of a museum to preserve the district's historical heritage
- Approval for the construction of a bypass in Sahawar town
These announcements clearly indicate that the Yogi government is strategizing for the upcoming 2027 assembly elections.
Message of "Development is the Resolution"
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister appealed that if the state is to become the number one state in the country, development politics must be prioritized. He also stated that the BJP government is working with service, not politics, as its medium.
