Donald Trump warned Russian President Putin against playing with fire, prompting Russia to threaten a third world war. Tensions escalate between the US and Russia.

The two most powerful nations in the world, Russia and the United States, are once again facing off. This time, the conflict involves former US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump warned Putin against playing with fire, eliciting a sharp response from Russia. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, explicitly stated that if Trump is talking about playing with fire, he should understand the dangers of a third world war.

Trump's Sharp Attack – Putin has gone "Crazy"

In his recent statement, Donald Trump bly criticized Vladimir Putin. He said, "I've known Putin for a long time, and we had a good relationship. But now Putin is doing something different. He's launching rockets, raining missiles on cities, and taking innocent lives. I don't like this at all. I don't understand what's happening with Putin." Trump went so far as to say that Putin has gone completely crazy. He alleges that Putin wants to seize not just a part of Ukraine, but the entire country. Trump warned that if Russia does this, the consequences will be extremely dangerous for Russia.

Russia's Sharp Rebuttal

Russia's response to Trump's statements was equally b. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, clearly stated, "If Trump thinks Putin is playing with fire and something bad could happen to Russia, he should understand one thing – the worst thing is a third world war." Medvedev expressed hope that Trump would understand this and refrain from irresponsible rhetoric.

The Root of the Conflict

The root of this entire conflict lies in the Ukraine war and ceasefire attempts. Trump wants a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible, but Putin is not ready for it. Trump says that if he were the US President, something much worse would have happened to Russia by now. He claimed that Putin is "playing with fire" by not heeding his words.

According to Trump, Putin is continuously attacking several Ukrainian cities, resulting in the loss of innocent lives. Trump believes that Putin's stance could further escalate the Ukraine crisis and pose a threat to all of Europe.

Increasingly Bitter US-Russia Relations

Relations between the US and Russia are no longer what they used to be. Trump once again attempted to convey in his statement that if he were president, he would have prevented Putin from taking such steps. However, the message from Russia is clear: they are not afraid of any threats. Medvedev's statement makes it clear that Russia is not taking Trump's statements lightly.
