UP Politics: Political rhetoric has intensified once again in Uttar Pradesh. BJP MP from Unnao, Sakshi Maharaj, launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, stating that Akhilesh, being out of power, is "yearning like a fish out of water." This statement comes after Akhilesh Yadav recently questioned the BJP's treatment of the Lodhi community and made a political offer of sorts to Sakshi Maharaj.
Sakshi Maharaj's Counterattack
Responding sharply to Akhilesh Yadav's comments, Sakshi Maharaj stated that the era of dynastic rule at the national and state levels is over. He asserted that today's governments work for the benefit of 1.4 billion citizens, not for a single family.
He said, "Just as a fish struggles without water, Akhilesh is struggling without power. He is out of power, hence these repeated statements. Akhilesh should ask himself why the people are not with him today."
Praise for Central and State Government's Work
Mentioning the schemes of the Modi and Yogi governments, Sakshi Maharaj said that today, governments from the center to the state are working in public interest. He added, "Criticizing a government whose schemes are reaching every household, be it Ujjwala Yojana or Ayushman Bharat, is merely a sign of frustration."
He further added that the time when installing taps or erecting electricity poles was considered an achievement is gone. Today, the country is reaching new heights of development, and the people are supporting it.
Akhilesh's Comments on the Statement Regarding the Lodhi Community
It is noteworthy that Sakshi Maharaj recently stated that the Lodhi community is not receiving the due respect in BJP after Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh. Following this statement, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, in a political overture, said, "When Sakshi Maharaj speaks from the heart, he speaks the truth."
Akhilesh also claimed that Sakshi Maharaj's statement was not just a warning for the BJP but also an indication of a future political direction. He asserted that 'PDA' (backward, Dalit, minority) is Sakshi Maharaj's natural and permanent place.
'We are supporters of democracy, not dynastic politics'
Sakshi Maharaj clarified that the BJP is far removed from dynastic politics. He stated, "Under the leadership of Modi and Yogi, we are working for 1.4 billion people, not for a particular family. This difference is visible to the people, and they are continuously supporting the BJP."
