Through this march, young activists paid tribute to the brave soldiers who recently attained martyrdom during a major operation against terrorist hideouts in border areas.
Operation Sindur: A New Chapter in National Security
'Operation Sindur' is a special military operation recently launched by the Indian Army in response to cross-border terrorist infiltration. This operation resulted in the destruction of numerous terrorist bases and the implementation of crucial strategic measures to safeguard national security. Some Indian Army personnel also attained martyrdom during this mission; this march was organized to honor their sacrifice.
Commencement and Form of the Tiranga March
The Tiranga March commenced at the local Ghantaghar Chowk, where a large number of Youth Congress workers, holding the Indian flag, united with patriotic slogans. The streets of Sikar echoed with resounding cries of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai," "Shaheedon Amar Rahe," and "Operation Sindur - Shaurya Ka Pratik" (Long Live Mother India, Martyrs are immortal, and Operation Sindur - Symbol of Bravery). The participating youth, dressed in white kurtas and pajamas, waved the tricolor on their shoulders and paid homage to the martyrs by lighting candles. Local shopkeepers, the business community, and the general public also showered flowers in support of the march.
Youth Congress' Message: Sacrifice Will Not Be Forgotten
Rakesh Chaudhary, the District President of the Youth Congress, stated, "Operation Sindur has once again proven that India will never let the sacrifice of its brave soldiers go in vain. This march is not only to pay homage to the martyrs but also symbolizes our awareness and support for the nation's defense." He further stated, "We urge the central government to provide immediate compensation, respect, and permanent assistance to the families of the martyred soldiers. Furthermore, border security should be strengthened with more technological force."
Participation of Students and Women
A notable feature of this march was the participation not only of party workers but also a large number of college students, teachers, and women. Many women activists held posters with slogans like "Salute to the Martyrs" and "We Are One." Anushka Verma, a student union representative, said, "We are proud of our soldiers and will always remember their sacrifice."
The march concluded at the Martyrs' Memorial with a moment of silence, followed by the lighting of candles and the offering of flowers at the portraits of the martyrs. Local artists performed patriotic songs, adding to the emotional atmosphere.
