Pawandeep Rajan: 'Indian Idol 12' winner Pawandeep Rajan was recently involved in a horrific car accident. His car collided with a stationary canter truck on a road near Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The vehicle was severely damaged, and besides Pawandeep Rajan, two others were also seriously injured.
Following the accident, Pawandeep was immediately hospitalized and received treatment. Now, after regaining consciousness, a picture of him smiling has been released. This image has brought relief and joy to his fans. The photograph's viral spread online has generated positive responses regarding his health.
How did the accident happen?
Pawandeep Rajan was traveling from Champawat (Uttarakhand) to Delhi with his friend Ajay Mehra and driver Rahul Singh. They were headed to catch a flight to Ahmedabad when their car collided with a parked truck on National Highway-9. Preliminary investigations suggest the accident occurred due to the driver falling asleep. Pawandeep suffered fractures in both legs and arms, along with head injuries. He was immediately admitted to Fortis Hospital, Noida, where he underwent a six-hour surgery.

While swelling and fatigue are visible on his face, his smile has reassured his fans. His team has stated that he is still in the ICU and further surgeries for remaining fractures will be performed after 3-4 days of rest.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has wished Pawandeep a speedy recovery. He wrote on social media, "Received the sad news of the renowned singer, son of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Shri Pawandeep Rajan, being injured in a road accident. I pray to God for his speedy recovery." Fans and several artists from the music industry have also offered prayers and wished for his quick recovery on social media.
According to Fortis Hospital, Noida, Pawandeep's condition is stable, and he is conscious. He sustained multiple significant fractures, which are being treated in phases. A second surgery is planned for the coming days.
