Amit Thackeray Urges PM Modi for Restraint in Operation Sindur Celebrations

Amit Thackeray Writes to PM Modi Regarding Operation Sindur, Urging Restraint in Celebrations

Maharashtra News: Amit Thackeray, son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, has written a sensitive and nationally significant letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The letter addresses the recent Operation Sindur and the subsequent celebrations and victory parades. Amit Thackeray appeals for restraint in celebrations, emphasizing respect for the sacrifices of soldiers who died for the nation.

Praise for PM Modi's Leadership

Amit Thackeray begins his letter by commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He states that under PM Modi's leadership, the country has made significant progress in national security and strategic affairs. He writes, "Your tough, yet necessary decisions have secured the nation."

Indian Army's Bravery Lauded as National Pride

In the letter, Amit Thackeray praises the Indian Army's bravery, discipline, and dedication, stating that their courage displayed in Operation Sindur is a source of national pride. He mentions that every Indian today bows in respect to the soldiers.

"This is not a time for victory celebrations, but a ceasefire"

Amit Thackeray clarifies that the nation is not currently in a state of victory, but rather a ceasefire. He deems the victory parades and political celebrations in some parts of the country insensitive. He writes that while the sacrifices of our soldiers are still fresh, such events could hurt the sentiments of the bereaved families.

"Share stories of sacrifice, not celebrate"

He further suggests that this time should be dedicated to sharing stories of the army's bravery, their sacrifices, and the courage of their families. Amit writes, "The need of the hour is emotional restraint, not displays of jubilation." He characterizes the victory parades as inappropriate and politically motivated.

The letter also mentions the recent Pahalgam attack, in which 26 innocent tourists lost their lives. He states that the nation's sentiments are currently filled with grief, anger, and concerns about national security. Celebrating under these circumstances would be against the sentiments of the people.

"Pakistan cannot be trusted"

He questions Pakistan's intentions, stating that history shows Pakistan does not respect ceasefires. He asserts that educating and preparing the public for a potential war-like situation is the government's responsibility.

"Restraint is the true tribute"

Amit Thackeray concludes by appealing to the Prime Minister to urge the nation to proceed with restraint and reverence until a clear and decisive outcome of Operation Sindur emerges. He writes, "Our restraint will be the true tribute to our martyrs."
