Jammu-Kashmir: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has undertaken a significant administrative reshuffle in Jammu and Kashmir, transferring 10 senior IAS and IPS officers. Simultaneously, seven IAS and one IPS officer have been appointed from other states to Jammu and Kashmir. This includes the transfer of three IAS officers, notably the Deputy Commissioners of Leh and Kargil in Ladakh. The objective of this administrative reshuffle is to ensure improved administrative control and efficient management in the region.

Details of the Administrative Reshuffle

The MHA issued orders on Friday, effecting a large-scale transfer of IAS and IPS officers posted in Jammu and Kashmir. Ten senior officers have been transferred to other states, while seven IAS and one IPS officer will assume new responsibilities in Jammu and Kashmir. This move is aimed at administrative reforms and improved governance.

Large-Scale Transfers in Ladakh

Three IAS officers, including the Deputy Commissioners of Leh and Kargil, two key areas in Ladakh, have been transferred. Three IAS officers from Jammu and Kashmir have been posted to Ladakh to replace them. This change aims to improve regional administration and establish better coordination.

Key Transfers of IAS and IPS Officers

  • Vijay Kumar Vidhuri, Commissioner of Kashmir, has been transferred to Delhi.
  • Sanjeev M Gadkar has been transferred to Goa, and Pradeep Kumar to Chandigarh.
  • Rahul Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, and Nitish have been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh.
  • Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin has been transferred to Puducherry, and Shakil Ur Rahman Rather to Goa.

  • Umesh Kumar, an IPS officer from Jammu and Kashmir, has been transferred to Delhi.
  • Several IAS officers from Delhi have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir, including Ashish Chandra Verma, Anil Kumar Singh, Naveen SL, Shreya Singhal, Mahima Madan, and Anant Dwivedi.
  • Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, from Ladakh, has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir, while Yatindra Maralakar and Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhdeve have been transferred to Goa.
  • Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, the former Deputy Commissioner of Kargil, has been posted to Jammu and Kashmir.

Statement from the Ministry of Home Affairs

The order was issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs.
