MP Board will offer a second chance to students who failed their exams. Interested students can register for the re-examination on mp.online from May 7th to May 21st.
Education: MP Board 10th and 12th Exam Results 2025: The Madhya Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal (MPBSE) recently announced the results for the MP Board 10th and 12th examinations. This year, the pass percentage for the 10th standard was 76.22%, while for the 12th standard it was 74.48%. In total, approximately 1.6 million students participated in the examination.
However, a significant change has been implemented this year, offering relief to students who failed the examination. These students will no longer have to wait until the following year. Under the new education policy (NEP 2020), they can retake the examination the same year.
Re-examination in place of Supplementary Examination
From now on, the MP Board will not conduct supplementary examinations. Instead, students who failed the 10th or 12th examinations for any reason will be able to appear for a re-examination. This decision provides students with another opportunity. MP Board Chairperson, Smita Bharadwaj, explained that during supplementary exams, students felt a sense of failure; therefore, the re-examination option has been introduced.
This includes students who failed in one or more subjects or were absent from the examination. Additionally, students who have already passed but wish to improve their marks can also participate in this examination. This step has been taken to give students another chance to improve their studies and correct the course of their education.
No Subject Change Allowed in Re-examination
Students appearing for the re-examination will not be permitted to change their subjects. This means that if a student decides to retake the examination after failing a particular subject, they will have to retake the examination in the same subject. The higher marks obtained between the first and second examinations will be considered the final result.
This decision ensures that students are evaluated fairly based on their previous examination performance, without any alterations. This step has been taken to maintain a transparent and equitable examination process for the students.
Registration Dates and Application Process for the Examination
Students who failed the MP Board 10th or 12th examinations or wish to improve their scores have the opportunity to retake the examination. Registration commenced on May 7th, 2025, and students can apply until May 21st, 2025, at 12:00 AM. The registration process is entirely online, allowing students to apply conveniently from home.
Students need to log in to the official MP Board website, mp.online.gov.in, and fill out the re-examination form. They will need to provide necessary information such as their roll number, subject details, and pay the required fees. Ensure all information is correctly filled during registration to avoid any future complications. This process provides students with another opportunity to improve their future prospects.
How will students retaking the examination receive their mark sheets?
Students retaking the MP Board 10th and 12th examinations will not receive their original mark sheets immediately. This means that students appearing for the re-examination in June will have to wait a short time for their original mark sheets.
However, there is no need for concern. Until the original mark sheet is received, students can download a certified copy of their mark sheet from DigiLocker. DigiLocker is a government platform where your mark sheet is securely available. This digital mark sheet can be used for college admissions or other purposes as it is considered valid. This eliminates the need for students to travel and allows them to access their mark sheets from home.
When will the re-examination be held?
The MP Board 10th and 12th re-examinations will be held between June 17th, 2025, and June 26th, 2025. All students who failed, wish to improve their marks in a subject, or were absent from the main examination can participate. Examinations for different subjects will be held on different dates within this period. Students are advised to complete their preparation on time and check the timetable on the board's official website.
